Welcome to the Churchrock Chapter government website! Churchrock is a community rich with Dineh (Navajo) cultural, beauty, and history as well as amazing opportunities. Our chapter government is devoted to enhancing the quality of life of our citizens, as well as the many visitors that grace the Red Rock country.

We strive to improve our communication base to our citizens locally and abroad through modern day communication, the internet. By providing information to our citizens, we are opening chapter government to our people.

 

About Us:

The Churchrock Chapter was established by the Navajo Tribal Council in 1963 to assist local citizens with their needs. Also known as "Kin Litsoi Sinili, the Chapter is rich with culture and tradition of the Navajo people.

Today Churchrock serves more than 3,000 Navajo citizens through housing assistance, veterans assistance, scholarship, financial, and many needs by local chapter members.

Churchrock is also 5 miles east of Gallup, New Mexico (Pop. 20,000) it serves as a local business for the citizens of Churchrock. On November 19, 2008; the Navajo Nation opens its first casino just 3 miles west of the Chapter. Fire Rock Casino, is now open and serves the greater region and tourist with entertainment.

Many events take place at the Red Rock Park, 2 miles NW of the chapter. The famous Annual Indian Ceremonial takes place in August; as well as: Lions Club Rodeo, Turquoise Classic Rodeo, Wild Thing, National Junior Finals Rodeo, and the annual Red Rock Ballon Rally.
